College Station Business Leader and Entrepreneur Announces Run for City Council

College Station, TX: Today, College Station business leader, David Levine, announces his run for College Station City Council Place 6.

Levine released the following statement:

“It is with great pleasure that I announce my candidacy for College Station City Council Place 6. Growing up as the son of a Houston area Police Officer, I understand the importance that good governance has on our communities. Thirteen years ago, I found a home in College Station, where I started my career. Like many people, I worked hard for every penny I earned. That work ethic led to me becoming the general sales manager of a local luxury auto dealer.

Over the years, I have assisted with the launch of multiple small businesses and moving of two auto brands from Bryan to College Station. While moving the auto brands from Bryan to College Station, I witnessed something that I didn’t expect. I watched arguments with my city government about creating jobs in our community. Then, while buying a home, the City of College Station passed an ordinance that infringes upon the private property rights of its citizens.

We can no longer sit back and allow certain city council members to smother economic mobility, stifle job creation, and infringe on private property rights. The values and integrity of College Station are at stake, and I am running to preserve them. It is time to put our community first and end the bureaucracy that plagues the economic potential of our community.”
